About

Greg and Pam Rogers

Hope 4 My City is a ministry rooted in the belief that God desires MORE for the lives of people in every city.  We desire for people to walk, live, go to school, work, play, build, grow spiritually, and with the continuing blessing that comes from God being present.  Hope 4 My City partners with churches and ministries for strategic events that promote the values of the ministry.  Many of the past events were spearheaded by Tuscaloosa Life Church where Greg and Pam have ministered for 10 years through such events as ABC 123 and Coats for Our Community.  Since the Tornado, Pam has worked with many agencies, and churches in the Long Term Recovery for Tuscaloosa.

Pam Rogers is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with EVERYone she meets. After Hurricane Katrina, Pam helped organize Churches in the feeding of many evacuees that were in Tuscaloosa's hotel rooms. She interacted with many of the evacuees and helped them in the short and long term transitions for jobs, and housing. She has organized churches, business, and school systems with the distribution of 1000's of school back packs over the last 8 years. She is presently serving on the West Alabama Long Term Recovery. They have been married 26 years and have 6 children. Their twin boys are both married (Jonathan and Melissa (Duren) for 4years) and (David and Elizabeth (Simbeck) are newly weds).

Greg Rogers planted Tuscaloosa Life Church in 2002 in the community known as Alberta City. Greg and Pam quickly gained a heart for the city through ministries such as Adopt-a-Block, in which their church would pray and minister in the Alberta community every Saturday. Working with the ministry of the Tuscaloosa Prayer Network, Greg helped coordinate city wide outreaches such as Reach Out Tuscaloosa and the Hope Initiative. Greg has facilitated several Pastors Prayer Summits for Tuscaloosa believing that it takes the whole church with the whole gospel to reach the whole city. Greg has traveled to several countries for evangelism and impartation. His passion is to see individuals and families walk unhindered in their divine destiny.

Starting in May of 2013 Greg began working with Moody Radio as a Morning Co-Host

Hope 4 My City is a vehicle big enough for all who want to help change their communities. It's inclusive so as to honor and bless ministries and churches engaged in their mission. The excitement is the implementation of sustained focus on the Core Elements that God reveals in Jeremiah chapter 29: 4-7. Its transferable and adaptable for any city to implement. All that is required is for people to work together in UNITY(laying down our agendas) and HUMILITY(preferring others as more important than ourselves) to see His plan and presence unfold.

The Strategy

We envision city transformation through Educating, Encouraging, Engaging, and Empowering individuals, families and churches in areas such as: homelessness, transitional & low income housing, health & wellness, family & financial, and spiritual initiatives. As God’s principles for love and life are implemented we believe that life in the city will prosper and HOPE will grow as people live out their dreams.

This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: 5Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease.  Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:4-7)

By the “church” engaging in the following principles we believe it will create a cultural climate that allows the church to re-represent God's LOVE and LIFE in ANY city. We feel that God was telling Jeremiah how the Jewish people were supposed to live in a foreign land (Babylon) in such a way that would not only help them survive, but have a “blessing impact” in their community and ultimately their city. We believe the “church” (foreigners to this world) can follow the same guidelines today and see the same results.
