Tuscaloosa Bible Reading Marathon
FAQ about Bible Reading
  1. Location: We will be set up in front of FBC chapel facing courthouse on Greensboro Rd.
721 Greensboro Avenue, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

  2. Can I read from my own bible?  Yes, read from any version that you are comfortable with,  There will be a large print NIV Bible available.
  3. Can I read from any passage?  Our goal is to read the entire Bible, therefore we will read it sequentially.  Next readers begin where the last reader left off.  If we complete the reading early we will start over with the New Testament.
  4. Do I have to read by myself?  You can, but we encourage you to take your time and possibly  read with family and friends.
  5. Are you really going to read through the night and is it safe?  yes,  By faith we are asking people to sign up to read during the night hours.  There will be security at the event all night long.
  6. I tried to sign up...do I have to create and account with signupgenius?      No, there is a box to check that allows you to continue without signing up.  The signup procedure sends you an automated email confirmation and a reminder email.  If you have difficulty, please contact me @ greg@hope4mycity.com
  7. What do you hope to accomplish?  We have a right to read the Bible publicly.  This is not a preaching event or a political statement.  We want to honor God's word by reading it aloud and fulfilling Rev. 1:3 about blessing.
  8. How many people will it take?  There are 300 (15 minute) time reading slots for the 74 hours.
  9. Can I sign up for more than 1 reading time slot?  No,we are asking that you allow as many others as possible to participate.  Some that come in the middle of the night, may want to read for 30 minutes to maximize their effort.
  10. Who is in charge of the event?  Pam and Greg Rogers are coordinating the event in conjunction with Tuscaloosa area pastors.  Hope 4 My City is a ministry started by Pam and Greg
  11. Is this free?  Yes, we do have cost incurred for overnight security.  First Baptist gave permission for the event to take place on their property.
  12. How can I keep up with the event?  We've created an event page in which we will be updating with pictures and comments as the event progresses. The page is Tuscaloosa Bible Reading Marathon.
