Pastor Encouragements

2/20/2015

This is a text message sent to pastors on 2/15/2015.  Acts 6:4 But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”  The disciples weighted their prayer time as equal with their teaching of the word,  Prayer is private, preaching is public. Jesus authority, power, purpose, teaching all flowed from His intimate prayer relationship with His father.  The disciples recognized this, when they asked Him, "Teach us to pray" Luke 11:1,  The saddest report from a minister would be that "we were too busy to pray."  May your power and anointing for ministry flow forth from your alone time in prayer.  3000 were saved in one day in Acts 2...preceded by 10 days of prayer in the upper room.  Then the Holy Spirit moved in Power....He still moves on lives that are fueled in prayer.  Walk humbly, preach boldly....after praying :).
